Junior Section
England Golf is passionate about developing and encouraging young people into golf which is a philosophy that we at North Middlesex golf Club also share. The younger generation are the future of the sport. There are some many benefits to playing golf. It's the perfect generation game, the sport that all the family can play together, It's great for sporty kids, but it's equally good and a real confidence booster for children who dislike more physical sports, It’s an ideal way of getting youngsters outdoors in the fresh air and off their digital devices and social media platforms, It’s an easy way to get good exercise without it feeling like a chore and it teaches all important personal skills which will last a lifetime
At North Middlesex Golf Club we have a thriving Junior section that provides a structure for those who want to start playing or continue developing their game and which has produced some great golfers no so more than European Tour Winner and player Andrew “Beef “ Johnston
Juniors new to golf are encouraged to take part in regular junior group coaching lessons on both Saturdays and evenings in the summer were juniors are taught the basics of golf and the fundamental rules and guidelines about safety on and around the course. With enough experience junior members than get full access to the course with regular junior competitions taking place all of which leads to an officially recognized handicap. Juniors with a full handicap are also encouraged to enter adult competitions at the Club and many of our recent Club champions have come up through the junior ranks. The junior section enters a six-player team in the Middlesex Junior Friern League, which involves matches against other clubs.
